PRIVACY POLICY
-
The data controller is me, Duncan Voice, trading as Manythanks. I can be reached at duncs@manythanks.co.
-
I only collect information that you voluntarily provide by the contact form or direct email. This is typically:
Name
Email
Phone number
Information about your enquiry (i.e. the stuff you need me to help you with).
-
My website is hosted by Squarepace, and they use some necessary cookies to make the site work properly and provide me with some basic, anonymous analytics (like how many site visits I’ve had, if you’ve using a phone or laptop). None of this tells me who you are, just if my site is working and if there’s anything I need to fix.
-
I use your information to:
Respond to your enquiry.
Manage our working relationship if we decide to work together.
Provide the services you’ve asked for.
-
I only keep your data as long as is necessary to provide my services or to comply with basic tax and legal requirements (like keeping invoices). If we don’t end up working together, I periodically clear out my inbox to keep things tidy. If we’ve finished working together, I will use the work to form a case study/ portfoilo.
-
The only third-parties who touch your data are the tool I use to run my practice, such as:
Squarespace (who host the website).
Google Workspace (who host my email).
HMRC (for when I have to do my taxes and show my invoices).
On occasion, I may work with freelancers if your project evolves but they will only ever be provided with the project information, and not your data.
I’ll never, ever sell your data to third parties for marketing purposes. That’d be really shitty, and I wish a lifetime of stubbing their little toe on furniture to those that do that.
-
You have the right to ask me what data I have on you, to ask me to change it, or to tell me to delete it entirely. Just email me at duncs@manythanks.co and I’ll sort it.
-
I really would hate if you’re unhappy with how I’ve handled your data, so please talk to me first. If I can’t fix it, you have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO) at www.ico.org.uk.
